FRUIT ACID CHEMICAL PEEL

This treatment uses chemical properties of AHA fruit acids for desquamation of top layers of the skin. The word peeling has an English origin and indicates the skin peeling process. It starts with gradual epidermis peeling, followed by its renewal and regeneration. As a result, the new skin is smoother. Chemical peeling is used to solve acne and oily skin problems, reduce enlarged pores, acne scars, smooth out fine wrinkles, rejuvenate the aging skin or skin damaged by solar radiation and remove hyperpigmentations. The treatment is performed during autumn or winter months.

BASIC INFORMATION:

• The procedure is non-invasive; the prior 2-week preparation by a 15% cream containing glycolic acid is followed by the application of glycolic acid in the concentration from 30 %, 50 %, gradually up to 70 % within 5-6 sessions, while the application period is also prolonged with each concentration.
• Treatments are performed in 14-day intervals, while one cure consists of 5-6 sessions.
• Minor redness will disappear within 1 – 2 hours following the application; the skin then gradually falls off.
• The procedure is performed during the non-sunny period; SPF 50+ photoprotection is recommended after the procedure.
